Interview: Israeli Paratrooper Commander Speaks with Arutz Sheva

IDF Officer Itzik Klimov, commander of a paratrooper brigade, consisting of about 55 soldiers, spoke with Arutz Sheva in an interview. Itzik, whose family made aliyah about 25 years ago, said that he has a “great feeling” serving the State of Israel.

He recounted his gratification at being able to wear the red beret symbolizing of the paratrooper brigade and described the experience of jumping out of a plane for the first time.  He said, “you get a chilly feeling…very frightening…  after you jump from the plane it is great fun, very quiet, you are alone, it is nice…”

Itzik said that he is “very proud of each of (his) soldiers and proud to be taking part in this great (Zionist) dream.”
